QUALIFICATIONS:

Kara Risk has over 17 years of professional experience as an environmental scientist, project manager, operations superintendent, and most recently as the Business Manager for BEA. Ms. Risk has obtained practical field experience in environmental assessment on a variety of properties ranging from vacant land to commercial and industrial manufacturing establishments. She has experience in industry practices and has completed all portions of the assessment procedure from site inspection, historical and government research, determination of sampling protocol and performing soil and groundwater sampling. Ms. Risk’s experience further includes emergency response and hazardous waste cleanup projects. Project responsibilities have included design and implementation of field testing programs, implementation of remedial strategies, risk characterization, preparation and representation of conservation permitting applications and technical writing and reporting. As BEA’s Business Manager, Ms. Risk directs the daily activities of the administrative staff, supervises vendor accounts, and executes human resource functions.  She is further responsible for administering client relations and advancing marketing efforts including advertising, networking, website and social media management.
